The American Association of Dermatology offers 11 ways to slow down the signs of aging skin.
- 1. Protect your skin from the sun. Cover up when possible and always use a sunscreen SPF 30 or higher.
- 2. Tanning (whether naturally or in a tanning bed) dramatically speeds up skin aging. Try a spray-on solution.
- 3. Stop smoking.
- 4. Wear sunglasses to reduce the lines that can appear from repetitive squinting.
- 5. Eat healthy.
- 6. Reduce alcohol consumption.
- 7. Get exercise every day.
- 8. Gently clean your skin rather than scrubbing it.
- 9. Wash your face twice a day.
- 10. Use a good facial moisturizer
- 11. Stop using products the sting or burn (unless prescribed by a medical professional.
